As much as some of us would like it to be, it's not 1969 all over again. We are lucky the '60's generation is at the helm of a lot of key positions in the automobile industry. It has made for some very beloved machines rolling out of Detroit. And yes, a new "GTO" is set to hit the market in 2014.
That doesn't mean Pontiac is doing the zombie thing. GM has NOT had second thoughts and is reviving the Pontiac brand. Thankfully, there are those in the aftermarket world who will not accept the beloved brand go away quietly.
An example of this commitment is found alive and well at Trans Am Depot who is setting the mark to launch a new GTO in 2014.
These are the same guys who created the Hurst Edition Trans Am, which share the same platform as the current Chevrolet Camaro.
Sharing the underpinnings of the Camaro, this new GTO is painted Carousel Red that’ll bring a V8 and rear-wheel-drive and word has it that the car will produce 614 horsepower.
