YAHOO AUTOS
We’ve already driven the all-new Alfa Romeo 4C — and it’s a pretty fun little thing. But we surely wouldn’t have a problem if the peppy little sportster had even more power. Well, that might actually be happening.
Digital Trends is reporting that Fiat Chrysler might be giving the Alfa up to 270 horsepower by massaging the current car’s 1.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Up from the base models 237 horsepower. In addition, the car might get named the Quadrifoglio Verde, which is a name that Alfa has slapped on other high-potency versions of its cars in the past.
The car will also get stouter brakes, an even sportier suspension, extra air vents, deeper side skirts, new exhaust pipes, a different front bumper, and larger front air intakes. The whole show, if you will. There will also be custom paint colors unique to this trim level and a special four-leaf clover emblem.
It’s possible that we’ll see this high-powered Alfa at next year’s Geneva Motors Show — and it might be a track-only special. We shall see.
