2010 - PRESENT, WHAT'S OLD IS NEW AGAIN, MUSCLE CARS GO FULL CIRCLE.

This is my seventh and final post on the evolution of the Muscle Car.

When I started post on the 1970's, I showcased 23 muscle cars from four different American car manufactures. Sadly, over the past forty years, we lost one car manufacture and four divisions.

We said good bye to The American Motors Corporation, and also lost Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Plymouth & Mercury. these nameplates played a big part in the Muscle Car era of the '60's & '70's.

On a positive note we still have The Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, (pony cars turned muscle cars,) Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Viper, The All New Chevrolet SS, and last but not least, The Iconic Chevrolet Corvette.

7 muscle cars that are future legends in their own right. Every car with the exception of the Chevrolet SS are available in different trim levels and each model has a wide choice of power plants. These are cars that should be taken quite seriously.

There is even a Chevrolet COPO Camaro, a non-street legal made for Drag Racing only beast. Chevrolet only builds 69 COPO'S @ year and the fetch up to $100,000+. These cars do not even have VIN #'s, they cannot be titled. This is a page taken from the 1960's. ( COPO is dealer jargon for Central Office Production Order. )
