It was 110 years ago today that Henry Ford's eponymous automaker received its first overseas showing, as the American Motor Car Company of Long Acre displays two Ford Model As at the Agricultural Hall Exhibition in London. That show led to Ford's first dealer in Britain, who needed a year to sell 12 cars. Within a decade, as Ford rolled out cheaper models, sales in Europe took off, and the company built its first British factory in 1911, soon filling the streets with the loud clatter of the Model T:
