The Toyota FT-1 Concept was a show stopper at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. As soon as it hit the floor, it was plain to see that it was but a mere Supra in concept clothing. So what would a production-spec Supra look like, based on the stunning FT-1 platform? Hopefully like the design study you see below.

Our friends at TopSpeed mocked up an FT-1-based Supra concept that looks ready to hit the road with a more production-ready set of lines, and some subtle enhancements.

Doing away with the questionable F-1 style nose from the FT-1 concept, the front of this Supra concept is much sleeker. Other features include updated wheels, a new spoiler reminiscent of the early 2000’s Supra, and some minor adjustments to the headlights and taillights.

While Toyota hasn’t officially announced the Supra’s return, we suspect we’ll see an FT-1-based Supra in the Toyota lineup sometime in the near future. Or at least we hope.
