Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe Shows Off Supermodel Good Looks in New York

The word ‘supermodel’ gets thrown around a lot. But not everyone, or every car, can lay claim to such a  prestigious title. The Mercedes S63 AMG coupe though — it’s about as ‘supermodel’ as it gets, and it’s taking to the runway in New York, no less.

Taking hints from the Concept S-Class Coupe we saw back in 2013, the S63 AMG shows off its sophisticated lines, a handsome new nose, and a smooth and streamlined backend. All combine to create a body line that is long and lovely.



Showing off luxury good looks on the outside, you may never guess that under the hood is a snarling 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo. This monster of an engine puts out 585 horsepower and reaches 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. It’s all paired to Mercedes’ advanced 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed automatic sports transmission.

The new S63 AMG redefines style in the luxury coupe segment, and it should go on sale later in the year. For now, you can catch live photos of it on display at this year’s New York Auto Show.
