Maserati Bringing its Alfieri Coupe to Life by 2016
When Maserati showed off its new luxury coupe concept earlier in the year, we perked up our ears and stayed vigilant for a confirmation of production. Our attentiveness then has not gone on for nothing, as Maserati announced its Alfieri coupe concept for production at the New York Auto Show. According to Automotive News(sub. req.), Maserati will in fact be building this lovely concept coupe sometime soon. This news comes after learning that Maserati is booming in sales, receiving nearly 3,500 orders per month for cars like the GranTurismo and Ghibli. That signifies a massive increase over 2013.
And as for the Alfieri, it likely won’t see the light of day until 2016, while Maserati makes room for a Levante crossover sometimes next year. A lot of details are still out on the table — like exactly what will sit under the hood, or whether it will keep its sleek design. But we do know that we’ll be able to see it in the next two years, and that’s ok with us.
