Niche carmaker TVR has a long and tumultuous history. Most of it has been filled with cars that are beautiful and lovable, but just couldn’t stack up to the already tried and tested sportscars on the market. But times have changed, and the brand is set on bringing its personality back to market with a new sportscar.
According to a new report from Autocar, TVR will be launching a new car within the next two or three years. Exactly what this car will encompass though, has yet to be told.
Along with a new car, the brand is planning to open a new research and development facility in the south of England sometime soon. Likely to begin research on its upcoming new vehicle. This new facility will include a large team of engineers, designers and suppliers all needed to build the vehicle and have it road ready.
While TVR plans for the future, right now, allegedly the automakers is working on a “static prototype,” likely to make its run of the show circuits. When the prototype will be made available for public viewing though, likely won’t happen for another year.
Let’s just hope TVR is serious this time, and makes an even bigger impact than before.
