We were well aware that the folks at Hennessey loved to tune all things General Motors. With the recent onslaught of new vehicles, the Texas tuning house has done its thing with Corvettes and Silverados–turning them into high-horsepower beasts. But this is something that we did not see coming– a Cadillac Escalade, tuned by Hennessey.
The 2015 Hennessey HPE550 Cadillac Escalade blends aftermarket tuning with upscale motoring luxury. The package starts with the 6.2-liter V8, and adds a belt-driven supercharger that ads 6 p.s.i. of boost.
That cranks output up to 557 horsepower and 542 pound feet of torque (up from 420 hp and 460 lb-ft), which is a 32 percent jump in horsepower and an 18 percent increase in torque. The HPE550 package also features an air-to-water intercooler and revised engine mapping.
The engine upgrade package is $15,950, on top of $72,690 (at least) for the price of the donor vehicle. Hennessey also offers its lightweight H10 forged monoblock wheels.
They are 20-inches in diameter, and will actually accept the tires from the stock Escalade wheels. Those aftermarket wheels come in at $6950.
Match it all to red brake calipers and the obligatory Hennessey badging, and you have an Escalade that will certainly stand out at cruise night or the country club!
