If the Easter Bunny Drove, He’d be driving this!

@ BOLD RIDE

fab1-1

Being the Easter Bunny must be a pretty cushy job. Unlike Santa, who slaves away the entire year producing toys for billions of children, the Easter Bunny shows up once a year with loads of store-bought chocolate. In some circles that would be considered hoarding – check your expiration dates kids.

Little is known about the illusive Easter Bunny and how he gets around, but if he does drive a car we’d peg it to be this one – a 27-foot six-wheeled, bubble-canopied, cabriolet. It’s called the 2004 Ford Thunderbird FAB 1 Concept.

fab1-2

The car was built by Ford of Europe to star in the 2004 cinema re-make of “Thunderbirds”, the cult ‘60s British sci-fi program. In the film, the car allowed Lady Penelope and her chauffer to travel at amazing speeds over land, sea, and air. In reality, the movie was a flop and few people went to see it…so don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it.

Underneath the pink bodywork rests the re-worked heart and underpinnings of an eleventh generation Thunderbird (built from 2000-2005). Power is sent to the rear via Jaguar’s 3.9-liter V8, yet despite its four mammoth front wheels and sea-going length – the car is in fact roadworthy and even featured on an early episode of “Top Gear”.

Really, there isn’t a better choice for discerning Easter Bunnies. When Santa’s done doing commercials for Mercedes maybe he’ll want one too. In red, of course.
