Nebraska, commonly known as the Cornhusker State, is quickly on the road to coining a new nickname – the Barn Find State.
Last year, VanDerBrink Auctions stumbled across the closed-up Lambrecht Chevrolet dealership, which yielded 500 classic cars (mainly from the ‘50s,‘60s, and ‘70s) – 50 of which had never been sold and barely driven. Well, incredibly they’ve done it again
A collection spanning over 200 vintage vehicles, along with loads of original parts, has been unearthed from the Bullock Chevrolet dealership in Grant, Nebraska. It might not contain any one-mile cars like Lambrecht, but the list is impressive nonetheless.
The Bullock family began selling Chevrolets in 1936, restoring cars in 1985, and has continued to hold onto many of the more interesting trade-ins. As expected, the bulk of the collection contains General Motors products from the 1950s and 1960s.
Noteworthy examples include a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, 1964 Chevrolet Corvair, 1963 Impala SS, 1954 International Harvester Pickup, as well as an impressive array of pre-WWII vehicles – 1935 Chevrolet three-window Coupe, 1925 Buick 2-Man racecar, and a 1934 Ford School Bus (above).
The auction goes live on September 6 in Grant, Nebraska. All lots will be sold at no reserve.
