We all know that Marty McFly famously travelled through time in a tricked-out DeLorean in the Back to the Future movie franchise. But what if he was driving this instead? A sleek, gullwing-having Volkswagen Bus. Though it never made it to the movies, this VW Bus was inspired by the iconic franchise, and now it’s for sale.
The car currently belongs to Carolina Panthers cornerback Cortland Finnegan, who came up with the idea for the design. According to duPont Registry, Finnegan turned over the shell of a ’67 Volkswagen to BLVD Customs so they could make his silver-screen dream a reality.
The car features sliding rear doors along with the iconic gullwing doors found on the DeLorean (and others). The body is covered in a stainless steel vinyl wrap and the interior has been completely remodeled. They even choose a color scheme that mimics the logo from the films.
This one-of-a-kind Volkswagen Bus is a showstopper, and it can be yours for the right price. It’s currently available at an asking price of $150,000. It’s not cheap, but just think of all the fun you’ll have going Back to the Future in a Bus.
