As we have seen from these spy photos from Automobile, a test mule for a performance variant of the Mustang is on the open road getting a workout.
The test vehicle is marked by a wider track, wider fenders and some other visual enhancements.

In addition to some added air intakes, one of the shots reveals what appears to be an “SVT” logo, and that makes us all sorts of happy. But what could reside under the hood?
The body work just seems to brawny to be the EcoBoost performance variant, which could be called SVO (or SVT).
There is a good chance that this would be equipped with a supercharged V8 engine, and be in the same performance bracket as the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

All we can say is that we like it whenever a new variant of a Mustang is out testing, and there is something truly absurd about cammo for the lower rear so you can’t tell what kind of exhaust it has!
