Three Ford GTs, six Corvettes, a plethora of Mustangs and Thunderbirds and more hidden gems were just uncovered by one very lucky individual in a place doesn't exactly spring to mind right away when we think of American muscle: Canada.

Canada's Driving reports that 40 fairly recent American performance cars were just located in a hut on an Alberta dairy farm. They were purchased by homebuilder, Shelby collector and one-time lottery winner named Lawayne Musselwhite, the website reports. (Some people have all the luck.)

Musselwhite's discovery is being described as Canada's ultimate barn find, a collection of performance machines left to collect dust but with barely any miles on their odometers. They were purchased several years ago by a farmer who expected them all to go up in value.

There are some strange folks out there. Anyway, the farmer apparently sold the lot due to some unfortunate health issues, but he hung onto 10 of them. Musselwhite said he doesn't know what the missing cars are.
As Musselwhite explains it, the wealthy owner of the dairy farm had years ago gone to his local Ford dealer with $1 million to spend, and asked a salesman to buy cars that would go up in value starting in 1999. Left inside the dirt-floor storage were rows of exotic sports cars, low production factory muscle cars and Harley Davidson Special Edition Ford pickups. The vehicles were new or had hardly any miles on them. Some still wore window stickers.
"It was disgusting the way they were left, covered in dust, overrun with mice and parked on dirt," Musselwhite says. "It was unbelievable what the farmhands were doing to these vehicles — running new special edition pickups through the mud and across fields."
Musselwhite and a friend paid just $1.1 million for the lot sight unseen, which is a steal for everything they got. The lot includes the Ford GTs (Awesome!), a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe (Sweet!), a 1979 Mustang GT Pace Car (Hell yeah!) and four Plymouth Prowlers (Um, okay.) Not bad at all.
