McLaren Is Building An Even More Hardcore 650S Spider

The general consensus is that the McLaren 650S is one of the most focused supercars on the planet. But apparently to some blokes in Woking, it’s just not hardcore enough, considering they’re having McLaren Special Operations build a special version. Because, why not?

Exactly how hardcore will this special 650S will be though, we’re not entirely sure, considering McLaren is keeping it under wraps until this. But what we can tell you is that it will come with some new carbon fiber fitments, a satin finish, a new leather interior, and some custom wheels. Not to mention an outrageous price tag.

In total, only 50 will be built, with only 25 of those being Spiders. The latter will debut this weekend at Goodwood. And only three colors will be available— Papaya Spark, Agrigan Black, and Sarigan Quartz. Which is fancy talk for orange, black and silver.

This McLaren exclusivity is set to cost potential buyers £252,500 ($428,800) for the coupe, and £272,500 ($462,750) for the Spider variant. You’ll have to wait though, as McLaren says deliveries will begin towards the end of the year.
