                                        Tushek TS 600

Supercar startup Tushek, founded by Slovenian racing driver. Aljoša Tushek, first hit the scene back in 2012 when it unveiled the Renovatio T500 at Top Marques Monaco. Since then, Tushek has gained new investors and relocated its operations from Slovenia to Austria. The company has also rebranded itself Tushek & Spigel.

At the 2014 Top Marques Monaco back in April, Tushek & Spigel presented a new model, the Tushek TS 600. Despite the name change, the company. is still committed to developing cars that are not only incredibly fast but extremely light as well, as the new model confirms.

The Tushek TS 600 has benefited from knowledge gained during the development of the Renovatio T500 and continues the company’s obsessive focus. on lightweight engineering. To keep weight down, engineers developed a chassis consisting of a mix of carbon and titanium. They also added carbon-ceramic brakes. The end result is said to be an exceptionally low center of gravity, low unsprung mass and a power to weight ratio of 1 horsepower for roughly every 3.55 pounds of weight.

Tushek & Spigel haven’t confirmed final numbers but the Tushek TS 600 is expected to weigh 2,470 pounds, which would make its output about 695 horsepower based on the promised power to weight ratio. There’s been no mention of where that power will be coming from, but an upgraded version of the Renovatio T500’s Audi-sourced 4.2-liter V-8 has been speculated.

Interestingly, the Tushek TS 600 revealed in Monaco is only the road-going version of the car. A track-focused model, the Pista, is said to have an additional 50 horsepower and an engine tuned to develop more of its power and torque at higher revs. The road-going version, the Strada, has been tuned to deliver more power and torque lower in the rev range as this is more suitable for street use.
Tushek & Spigel will limit production of the Tushek TS 600 to just 60 cars, split evenly between Pista and Strada versions. The company is hopeful of eventually building up to 300 cars per year in the next decade.
