The Land Rover Defender is one of the longest-running vehicles ever made, but Land Rover has officially axed it after 67 years. There is a next-generation Defender coming, but the original is still the original, which makes this custom pickup version of the car something extra special.
It was built by D.A.P. Enterprises in Springfield, Vermont and they call it a Sahara pickup. Underneath that unique body it’s all Defender, except for a 4.0-liter V8 that they took from a Range Rover. There’s permanent four-wheel-drive, a locking center differential and 11 inches of ground clearance to go anywhere you darn well please.
According to New York Daily News, the body and frame were done by a UK company and brought to the US to complete the Defender. It’s a one-of-a-kind vehicle and will definitely attract attention with its bright yellow paint job. It’s also currently up on eBay should you have a little extra cash left over after all your holiday shopping is complete.
Despite there being lots of Defenders out there, prices are high so this one won’t come cheap. The Buy It Now price on eBay is $49,500 or you can make an offer. It was recently up for auction and didn’t sell, so this is a relist. If you make an offer, you never know, you might just walk away with this Defender.
