Parting is such sweet sorrow, they say. But said parting is a bit easier to swallow when we know a newer, better version is expected next year. In this case, it’s the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, and Caddie is sending it off in style.

Cadillac will be rolling out this unique all-black special edition CTS-V Coupe the beginning of 2015. Of course, with the new CTS sedan already gracing showrooms, we knew it was only a matter of time before the coupe would be getting a makeover. But it’s still sad to see this old girl go.

With a limited run of only 500 units, this CTS-V Coupe will sport an all-black-everything exterior including wheels, inserts, and interior accents. The new upgraded cabin also sports some black Recaro seats lined in red stitching, a Midnight Sapele wood trim, and a microsuede-trimmed steering wheel and shifter. This final edition is luxury to the max.

But it doesn’t skimp on power, either. The 6.2-liter V8 receives the same supercharged treatment, pushing out somewhere in the neighborhood of 556 horsepower at the rear wheels. And you can even opt for a six-speed manual, if you so choose.

The special CTS Coupe is expected to be unveiled later in the year, available in either white, gray, or the black seen here. Price hasn’t been announced just yet.
