Well…that was quick. If you were hoping to get your hands on a 2015 Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary Edition, looks like you missed your chance, by a long shot. When the car was released on Tuesday of this week, it reportedly sold out in just 10 minutes. TEN.
Only 100 models were available, and most of which were sold through Mazda’s pre-order site beforehand. But the few that did linger past the release date weren’t kept waiting for too long.
Starting at $33,000, the Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary Edition came with new features like a Soul Red Metallic paint only, brilliant black trim, 17-inch dark gunmetal alumni wheels and 25th anniversary badging. Not to mention the choice of a six-speed manual, or an automatic gearbox.
So, if you didn’t move quick, you missed out. But no worries, a new and improved MX-5 is on the way sometime soon, and we’re sure they’ll build more than 100 of those.
