Yesterday we told you Lamborghini was building a McLaren P1 fighter, though, there was still much unanswered in the way of details. Today, we’ve got some more goods on the upcoming Lamborghini hypercar—and boy will it be something.

According to a report from Yahoo Autos, the apparent Lamborghini hypercar was revealed at Pebble Beach, to a few potential owners, in the form of a hologram. Seriously, a hologram. While Lamborghini may or may not yet have an actual running, driving vehicle, the specs on this thing—per Lamborghini fashion—are off the chart.

With a starting price at $1.2 million, Lamborghini will only build 20 examples of this exclusive machine. That’s pretty similar in both price and exclusivity to the Veneno (pictured here) and Egoistsa.

We expect this new car, though, to be even more hardcore than either of those. Think of something close to the McLaren P1 or Porsche 918 in performance, and likely using a hybrid drivetrain.

When asked about the idea behind the upcoming hypercar, CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Yahoo Autos, “We don’t want to do concept cars for the museum. We want to give customers the potential to enjoy the cars on the road.”

It sounds promising. With the Lamborghini lineup growing even more, including two new Huracan variants and the Urus SUV, Lambo is on the fast track to being the top of the high-end segment once again.
