How much would you pay for a used 1995 BMW 3-series? Two thousand dollars…three thousand dollars? If you’re interested in buying one previously owned by Apple founder Steve Jobs, you’re going to have to dig a bit deeper.

Try $15,001. That’s the price tag affixed to this 1995 BMW 325i convertible, which surfaced on Craigslist in Mountain View, California. According to its current owner, Julius Winegar, original DMV documents show the car was registered to Steve Jobs’ wife, Laurene Powell Jobs, between 1995 and 1996.

Winegar told SFGate that he purchased the car from its second owner earlier this year, fixed a few things here and there, and now wishes to trade-up to see how far 10 trades on Craigslist can take him.

“Remember that story about the guy who kept trading up on Craigslist?” said Winegar. “He started with a paper clip and worked his way up to a house. I’m getting older and I’ve never done anything fun like this. I just want to experience the thrill of trading up a few times.”

In the Craigslist ad, Winegar notes that he replaced the BMW’s shocks, struts, and tires recently, as well as added a new stereo system. No Apple CarPlay to be seen here though. Under the hood lies a hearty BMW 2.5-liter straight-six, which mates to a five-speed manual transmission, and summoned 189 horsepower when new.

Today, the BMW shows 138,000 miles, and Winegar says if he doesn’t sell it, he’ll be just as happy to keep on driving it.
