The Lamborghini Egoista concept car is not a vehicle that receives mild responses. By all accounts this single-seat land missile goes down as one of Lamborghini’s wildest creations of all time. However, a new trademark has many wondering if this crazy concept might actually go into production.

On November 27, Lamborghini filed a trademark application for the “Egoista” name. While that doesn’t exactly confirm that the concept will spawn a production car, it is a remarkably good sign.
Launched in May 2013, the Lamborghini Egoista concept represented a 50th anniversary gift from Lamborghini to itself, which was quickly squirreled away and put on display at the firm’s museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese. “Egoista” is Italian for “selfish.”

The stunning concept surely ticks that “selfish” box too. Inside there’s room for just one passenger amidst a racy jet fighter interior (drivers must step down and into the cockpit), while outside the one-off car’s designer Walter De Silva called it the “embodiment of pure emotion and extreme hedonism.”

At an angle the Egoista’s profile resembles the silhouette of a charging bull and—reflective of its jet fighter feel—each body panel has been coated with anti-radar stealth material. Prod the accelerator and you’ve unleashed a 5.2-liter V10, pinched from the late, great Gallardo, which emits 600 horsepower. Time will tell if this Raging Bull is ever let out of its pen and put on sale in limited numbers.

As of now nothing is confirmed, however in a recent interview with the UK’s AutoExpress, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann did say anoter special car would take the stage at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

That car is noted to be the “Centenario LP 770-4” in patent applications, and it will celebrate the 100th birthday of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini.
