If silver screen Dominic Toretto is afraid to drive a car – you know it’s a handful. Well, this is that car.
Christopher Rutkowski, host of YouTube’s The Aficionauto, got the rare chance to get behind the wheel of Dom’s – scratch that – Vin Diesel’s 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from The Fast and the Furious. And to say he was speechless is a bit of an understatement.
It’s the proud possession of Bob Hartwig, one of the partners at Hollywood’s Picture Car Warehouse. Hartwig, who before getting into the movie-car business piloted an F-15, claims he has owned over 75 movie cars in his career, though we can see why this one should top his list of favorites. Even if the blower isn’t real.
Bob’s intimidating Charger first made its debut in the maiden Fast & Furious, and has since been borrowed by Universal Pictures for Fast Five, where it was driven by the late Paul Walker, and will even make a third run at things in the upcoming seventh film as well.
