Another day, another supercar fire. This time, it’s a Lamborghini Aventador that immolates itself, and it’s been caught on video.
There isn’t a lot of detail, other than the fact that the car has a wrap, and that potentially could have accelerated the fire.

Here’s what we do know: The car was at a wedding somewhere in Asia (looks like India but that’s not clear from the video), being driven either by a guest, participant, or observer.
The driver backs it into a parking space and starts revving the engine to show off.
Somehow, likely through some unburned fuel hitting the hot exhaust, the car catches fire and one witness tries unsuccessfully to put it out with his shoe. Watch it here:
It doesn’t appear the driver did anything wrong, as revving a 700-horsepower supercar to show off seems natural. It’s doubtful he or she thought it would flame up. The real sin here is that the person shooting the video shot it in portrait.
We don’t know the fate of the Aventador, but we hope the damage was minimal. Alas, the supercar fire curse strikes again.
