There are few things more satisfying than getting your hands dirty, and bringing back to life an iconic muscle car like the Chevrolet Chevelle. Just ask two of our readers, Colton and Chandler. These young guys picked up an old Chevelle they found in a barn, and rebuilt it with whatever money they had lying around
Here’s the full story:

How did you acquire your ride?

The owner of this car, Chandler, and myself literally found this car in a barn almost a year ago. The car had been abandoned there since 1994, which ironically, is just a year after we were born.

What drew you to the car?

It’s sweet! Not often you see a nice four door 67 just laying around. That and it was free.

Does it have a name?

We call it the pile, largely because it is one. It is sort of our company car (Driftin Plastics, you should like us), so it needed a name that made it feel special.

What do you feel like when you drive it?

When driving this car you feel an odd, mixed, sensation of joy and fear. Because it has awful brakes.

What would you change about your car, if anything?

If we were going to change anything it would definitely be the drum brakes. Like I said…they’re scary.

What have you done to make it a bolder ride?

To make the pile a bolder ride we wet sanded and buffed the original paint, put some cheap 18″ wheels on it, and built a cheap turbo kit for it. Theres honestly less than a grand in the whole car, and it probably honestly makes 325rwhp on 10psi. Not bad for a bone stock 283.

Dream accessory for it and why?

Dream upgrade/definitely happening in the future is an LS build. The original plan was to build a turbo 5.3/4L60, but we did this just to calm our boost cravings.
