It’s the season of trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, and scaring the daylights out of your friends and family in the name of good old-fashioned fun. Ford likes fun, so it decided to scare some folks half to death by turning a car wash into the tunnel of terror.
It all started innocently enough with Ford inviting 30 people on a filmed test drive. All the participants were told to take the car to a specific car wash first, and that’s where the fun, or should we say terror, begins.
Ford took over the car wash for the day. They changed its usual sudsy interior into a pitch black tunnel with strobe lights and scary monsters flinging themselves against the windows and pounding on the glass. One guy even jumps on the hood of the car because apparently Ford is confident that their cars are dent proof. They better be hoping their interiors are proofed against other bodily fluids because these people lose their cool completely.
It’s all in the name of good fun, but I’m thinking not one of these people is going to use an automatic car wash again for the rest of their lives. They will only be using the self-wash and only when there’s a friend around to stand guard against impending doom.
