There are a lot of reasons to like what goes on at Hennessey Performance. The Texas tuning shop rolls out big performance upgrades for all the latest offerings on four wheels, big and small.

But now they’re rolling out a huge horsepower boost for something a bit up in its years – the Ferrari F430 Scuderia, which shipped out of Maranello in 2008 and ‘09 boasting 503 horsepower. Hennessey just gave it 708.
Gotta’ love the Scud.

In the video above, Hennessey’s Ben Norell takes the tuned 4.3-liter Ferrari – now boasting twin turbochargers – out for a blast at the company’s test track. Better turn up your speakers for this because one thing is for certain, it’s a screamer.

While the blow-off of high-spinning turbos isn’t exactly a classic Ferrari road car staple, they certainly don’t seem to detract from the sensation here. Norell notes that the car drives exactly as it did upon leaving the factory, no jerks or uneasiness in the transmission, just a whole lot more usable power.

“I can just assure you one thing, Formula 1 cars don’t sound like this.” We very, very badly wish they did.
