The 2015 New York International Auto Show is in full force through April 12. Some are already calling it the best show of the auto show season in terms of major introductions. Our Top 10.5 new cars at the New York Auto Show will show you how true that is.
Topping my list has to be the Cadillac CT6. It’s simply stunning. I literally stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it.
2016 Mitsubishi Outlander
Next on my list is the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. It has to be seen to be believed. Mitsubishi might stand a fighting chance in the midsize crossover market with this stunning vehicle.
2015 Lincoln Continental Concept
It was tough putting the Lincoln Continental Concept behind the Outlander, but the latter is going to have more of an immediate impact. Ironically, both are going to play huge roles in resurrecting their brands.
2016 McLaren 570S
Coming in fourth is the McLaren 570S. It’s easily the best looking supercar on the floor, plus its “reasonable” price doesn’t hurt.
2015 Honda Civic Concept
Hond made quite the impact showing off its new Civic concept — especially in that color. It marks the 10th generation and a revival of the global Civic.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Club Edition
The 2016 Mazdia MX-5 Club just screams out its aggressiveness with its sculpted looks. It looks best when seen from the rear for some reason.
2016 Scion iM
Head to the north hall at the Jacob Javitts Center to see our next two choices. The Scion iM shows its benevolent overlord Toyota might actually have its design groove back. Scion might actually attract buyers below retirement age once again.
2015 Subaru BRZ STI Performance Concept
The Subaru STI Concept is also in the north hall. It looks like it can blow your doors off standing still.
2016 Ford Focus RS
The Ford Focus RS is just a beautiful tribute to Ford Performance Blue — all the way down to its Performance Blue Bembro brakes. The Blue Oval has made a beautiful 300-horsepower beast. Too bad we won’t see it for another year.
2015 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line Concept
Rounding out the Top 10 is the Volkswagen Beetle R-Line concept, powered by a 217-hp 2.0-liter TSI engine. It is finished in Oryx White Pearl effect paint and has a rear diffuser, a large rear spoiler and 20-inch Monterey aluminum-alloy wheels. It’s what every Beetle should be.
2015 Kia K900 King James Edition
Rounding out the list at number 10.5 is the Kia K900 King James Edition. Kia opened the doors for a peek inside — and it’s just loaded with Lebron references, including seat stitching reminiscent of basketball hoops and his logo stamped on the headrests, as well as the brake calipers. It’s a sharp-looking car.
