Opening up an aftermarket parts catalog, to a four-wheeling fan, is akin to letting a kid loose in a toy store. You must – have – everything. Texas’ Starwood Motors realizes that appeal. They’ve built some of the wildest and most kitted-out Jeeps on the market, and their latest project might just be the custom Jeep of your dreams.

It’s called Project Nomad and it started out life as your average 2015 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited – 3.6-liter V6, 285 horsepower, and five-speed automatic. A Trail-Rated rig for sure, but not as capable as the machine it spawned.

Starwood added a Teraflex long arm suspension lift kit, Fox shocks, sway bars, upgraded axles, 41-inch Super Swamper tires, extra tall 5.13 gearing, winch, and a fearsome exoskeleton roll-cage. On visual impact alone it looks ready to conquer the Rubicon. Given the substantial upgrades, it probably would have no problem accomplishing that feat.

Despite its rock-ready looks, it isn’t all brash and no posh. Inside, Starwood has adorned the seats with Nappa leather and installed an Alpine stereo system, back-up camera, and refrigerator. Need to sleep on the trail? The Nomad features a roof-mounted tent so you can kick back from high above the rocks.

If the Wrangler ‘Nomad’ does indeed tick all your off-road boxes, you’re in luck. Starwood has listed ‘Project Nomad’ up for sale on its website for $107,888, along with many of its other hardcore project rigs. The Wrangler made its grand debut late last month at the annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari… and in good company. Jeep built and brought along seven stunning 4×4 concepts as well.
