The 1,700HP Lyon Supercar Isn’t Ready for New York, Obviously

BOLD RIDE

Lyons LM2 2

Didn’t see that one coming. The out-of-nowhere startup promising a 1,700 horsepower state-of-the-art supercar won’t be displaying in New York. Shocking, I know.

In an email sent to Jalopnik, Lyons says that the car will not be shown at press days, but will be on display for public viewing for the next week. If you smell something fishy, you’re not the only one.

With loads of empty promises and only some vague renders to work by, the Lyons LM2 Streamliner sounded like nothing more than a pipe dream. Now that it won’t be available for the press to see, or inquire about in New York, it only furthers that suspicion.

Here’s the excuse they gave for having to pull the plug:
“There is still work to be done to have the concept car meet the standards of the founders as they would prefer to release the car to the public then.

This is unfortunate as today is the last press day, but we will continue to keep you updated on the progress and provide images and be more than happy to accommodate email, phone, or skype interviews once the company is fully ready to reveal the prototype to the public.”

Riiiiiiiight. So much work to still be done. Like everything.
