Actor Jason Statham is no stranger to amazing cars. He stars as bad guy Deckard Shaw in Furious 7 where he gets to drive around chasing people in a silver Jaguar F-Type, and he’s owned some pretty slick cars himself, including an Audi R8. His latest purchase kicks things up a level or two as he poses with his brand new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
The picture was snapped by none other than Ferrari who posted it on their Instagram account over the weekend. That was a careful bit of timing with Furious 7 in theaters just as Statham got his new car. The picture shows the actor lounging against the side of a silver F12 Berlinetta looking pretty happy with his new purchase. Owning an F12 Berlinetta would put a smile on anyone’s face.
The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is one of the most powerful road cars that Ferrari has ever produced. It has a 6.3-liter V12 that puts down 730 horsepower and can do 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds and 0-124 mph in 8.5 seconds. The thing is blisteringly fast.
And at one point in time, it lapped Ferrari’s private racetrack, the Fiorano Circuit, faster than any other car in the lineup. Let’s hope Statham has some track time planned to put all that horsepower to good use.
