The Charger and Challenger Hellcats are among the most insane production cars on the planet, and have some of the most gifted drivers running scared. But there will always be those individuals that think enough is never enough. That’s why companies like Hennessey exist.

According to the company, a select few individuals wanted more performance out of their Hellcats. Who these people are, and what drugs they’re taking, we’d love to know. However, the folks over at Hennessey are the poster children for adding insane amounts of horsepower to already fast cars and have already begun testing the company’s new Challenger Hellcat to see where they can add more performance.

As you’ll see in the video below, the Challenger Hellcat has a baseline rating of 643 horsepower, and develops 576 lb-ft of torque, which is right in line for a 15-20% driveline loss. That means the blown V8 definitely has the 707 horsepower Dodge boasts about at the crank.

What we don’t know yet is what the mad Texans have in store for the hellacious Hellcat. Will the company go full bananas and hit 1,000 horsepower? Will Hennessey slap an even bigger supercharger atop the mighty 6.2-liter V8 and just go for some crazy quarter mile records? Or could Hennessey be possibly building a Hellcat Super Bee that has only been illustrated in our collective dreams? We’re not sure. Knowing Hennessey though, we won’t have to wait that long to find out, and the video that comes out with it will be filled with unholy noise and oodles of tires smoke. We can’t wait.
