BOLD RIDE
You’ve undoubtedly heard of the GT350. Perhaps encountered a GT500. Gazed at photos of the Mach 1, Cobra, Boss 302, Bullitt, so on and so forth. They’re all iconic incarnations of the world’s most famous pony car. But this is one Mustang you might not be so familiar with.
The prompt for the Roush Hyper Series was fairly simple–equip the Mustang with lots of power and give it an appearance that will turn heads. The former of which was handled by the use of a 2.3-liter Roush roots-type supercharger under the hood, which slurps air and cranks the 5.0-liter Ford V8 up to 540 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. That engine package backed up exclusively to a six-speed manual gearbox, and is complemented by a lowered Roush performance suspension, exhaust, four-piston brakes, and 20-inch Hyper Black wheels.
According to the seller, this car has encountered only 4,240 miles in its three years on the road, and the provided invoice interestingly shows that the axle gearing was upgraded to a taller 3.73 ratio. Vroom, vroom.
