Aston Martin Vantage GTS

If you pay attention to all things Aston Martin, you’d know that the firm recently announced a V12 Vantage S with a seven-speed manual transmission. Now they’ve announced plans for the V8 powered line-up—and it’s great news for American buyers. There will be only one V8 Vantage model in the US, and it will be the Vantage GTS.

The plan is to build 100 units of the Vantage GTS, which will be divided into two separate trim levels. There will be a Sport and Lux available as a coupe and a roadster.

Regardless of which you choose, it will be powered by the 4.7-liter V8 with a choice of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed single-clutch automatic transmission (I’d choose the former).

The Sport version will get carbon-fiber accents and black finishes on the front grille and headlight bezels. It will also have a sports suspension and gray or black leather seats with Alcantara or leather trim. Not to mention that simple, yet aggressive wheel setup.

The Lux drops the sports suspension and adds gloss black exterior trims and a brightwork front grille, headlamp surrounds, hood vent strakes, and window surrounds. The seats are finished in leather and a Bang & Olufsen stereo is standard. No pricing yet, but look for it to start around $135,000.
