2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Artist's Rendering
The 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 (pictured above in our exclusive artist’s rendering) is coming—and soon. Thanks to two videos Ford recently posted to its YouTube channel, we can now say the car will debut in Los Angeles on November 17.

The videos don’t specifically mention the GT350, but since they talk about “Ford performance heritage,” flash close-ups of engine manifolds and wheels, and use a Shelby font to spell out the date, we know what they’re referencing. All we can share about that engine at this point is that it may be the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V-8 we discovered after reading specs on—you guessed it—Ford’s own parts website.

We do know the GT350 will have a flat-plane crank and will rev insanely high for a Mustang (think 8000 rpm). Ford used the transcendent last-gen Boss 302 as its bogey for the new GT, which means the GT350—ostensibly the Boss replacement—ought to just about liquefact our brains. Is anyone else quivering in anticipation like us? Thought so.
