Ever wondered what a tiny Rolls-Royce would look like? It’s your lucky day.
Putting a compact Rolls-Royce into production just doesn’t fit the heritage marque’s modus operandi, so it’ll most likely never happen. But that didn’t stop the guys over at Auto Projecoes from putting their spin on the spawn of Mini and Rolls.
While finely rendered, the site’s resultant ‘Rolls-Royce Spook’ doesn’t exactly carry with it the same clout as a Phantom or the sportiness of a Mini Cooper S. But it makes for a good talking point.
Does luxury always need to be supersized? Certainly not. The new BMW i3 features an incredible interior and is simply a fantastic place to just be. The pint-size BMW 2-Series cuts the mustard as well, but in a more reserved fashion. For exterior styling purposes though, BMW might want to keep its iconic Spirit of Ecstasy reserved for its larger Rolls-Royce cruisers.
Underneath, Auto Projecoes claims the Spook sports Mini’s third-generation F56 platform but instead it’s fitted with the eight-speed automatic and 240-horsepower 2.0-liter from the latest BMW 328i. Now, you’ve got our attention.
Though if we had to choose, we’d probably opt for one of the team’s earlier creations – the gorgeous ‘Bentley Devon’, a mixture of Audi A3 and Bentley Continental, purportedly fitted with the S3’s 292-horsepower 2.0-liter TFSI engine. That needs to happen.
