Formula 1 cars are already some of the most advanced vehicles around. They look every bit the high-tech monsters they need to be to successfully compete. Ferrari has some great cars in its F1 history and now it is sharing what it thinks the Ferrari F1 cars will look like in the future.
These renderings come straight from Ferrari and not only look slick, but show one possibility for how the cars could look some day. The car was created in conjunction with the F1 aerodynamics department with the intent of making a car that can go faster than any other in the race.
There’s a gorgeous double-decker front wing and a very sculpted body with a wide, low rear wing. It looks like it should be fast, but of course, this is just a rendering so there’s no way to know exactly how this car would perform until it is someday built. There’s also the question of whether or not it would even be legal.
The F1 Commission is meeting in Geneva to hammer out the future rules for F1 which could determine whether this design would even be allowed. It’s not about just setting the rules for the race itself, but the rules for the cars. There’s talk that they could introduce a design overhaul to completely change how F1 cars look.
