Buy a Rare Bentley Continental, Get a Ride in a Stunt Jet

As car models age, they become a bit long in tooth. Their interiors go out of date, and the tech that once was ahead of its time is now considered an antique. To breathe new life into those models, they tend to make special editions to squeeze the last bits of juice out of the proverbial oranges. And that’s exactly what Bentley is doing with the new Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series.

 

Besides giving it what has to be the longest car name ever, Bentley has built one of the most exclusive Continentals in existence with only seven of these limited edition Continental GT Speeds being built. All of which take inspiration from the Breitling Jet Team. Each car is handcrafted by the Mulliner designers, and Bentley say the level of detail on these limited edition cars takes the “customization to new heights.” Pun most definitely intended.

Bentley states that the company, “is taking its fusion of luxury and performance to new extremes with the launch of the Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series. This exclusive series is limited to just seven cars, each inspired by one of the seven Breitling Jets. Renowned for their precision, speed and daring, this summer the Breitling Jet Team will be performing across the United States and Canada in a grand tour of epic proportions. To commemorate this spectacle, Bentley’s Mulliner division has re-imagined the Continental GT Speed to mirror the distinctive look of the Breitling Jets, fusing extreme customisation with immense speed.”

 

The limited edition Bentley Continental GT Speed will debut at the Boeing Seafair Airshow in Seattle July 31. But the best part of buying this car isn’t all the bespoke touches to the interior, or the amazing amounts of speed it’s capable of. Rather, it’s that, “The key for each car will be handed over to its owner by the corresponding plane’s pilot, but not until they have experienced a flight in the jet that inspired their car.” That’s right, if you buy one of these Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series cars, you’ll get a ride with the Breitling Jet Team in one of their jets. No word though from Bentley on the price tag that will get you into this very exclusive club.
