If you’re in the market for a gently used Saleen S7, then now is your chance to own one with celebrity credentials. This 2003 model is up for sale in Ontario, California and once belonged to none other than the car’s namesake, Steve Saleen.
Proof of ownership comes courtesy of Saleen’s signature on the shiny silver car. This might explain why the asking price through James Edition is a whopping $599,999 for this particular S7. That’s a rather high asking price for a model that isn’t the 248-mph twin-turbo version.
According to GT Spirit, an orange S7 twin turbo came up for auction at RM Sotheby’s Monterey and eventually went for even more than the asking price on this one. It sold for $682,000 with 4,650 miles on the odometer. This model might not be as powerful, but it also has a lot less mileage. The last 12 years have seen only 1,622 miles put onto the car.
The bright silver paint job is complemented by a black leather interior and a set of black wheels. Perhaps the low mileage and celebrity ownership make it worth the price, but that’s an awful lot to play for someone’s signature on your car.
