Ferrari Enzo Signed by Michael Schumacher Headed to Auction

The FXX-K might be the current top of the Ferrari performance totem pole, but before the LaFerrari-based track variant debuted for an obscenely wealthy few, there was the original FXX. It was based on the Enzo, and one is available right now, signed by one of the greats of racing.

The FXX-K can keep its hybrid setup, as the bare-bones V12 in the FXX makes it a purist beast. For the FXX, Ferrari took its 6.0-liter V12, and increased displacement to 6.3-liters. Output increased from 660 to 809 horsepower, and resulted in a bonkers zero to sixty time of 2.44 seconds and a top speed of 214 mph.

Only 30 examples of the FXX were built, and this one is #29 of the group. It is signed by none other than Michael Schumacher, who helped develop the FXX for Ferrari. “Schumi” helped develop the car during his unprecedented run of seven Formula 1 championships.

The Italian automaker then sold the car to hand-picked prospective buyers who had a history of loyally purchasing and collecting Ferraris.

This very special Ferrari goes under the hammer on Saturday, Sept 26 at Auctionata in Berlin, but have your accountant on hand—the opening bid is 1,000,000 ($1,117,250).
