Giant Lamborghini Fire

Supercars have their issues, like occasionally catching fire. Their high performance engines tend to burst into flames when things go wrong, so it’s not uncommon to see videos of burned out supercar remains. This time, it’s a giant Lamborghini Gallardo sculpture that has caught fire.

The 82-foot long Lamborghini sculpture was erected outside Anji Arena in Russia to celebrate the local football club, which was recently promoted to a higher league. It was supposed to remain on display indefinitely.

According to GT Spirit, the FC Anji football club is owned by billionaire Suleyman Kerimov. The man is an avid collector of exotic cars, which sort of explains why he chose it as a tribute to his team.

Unfortunately, it caught fire in an incident police are investigating as an arson. Firefighters arrived at the scene quickly and extinguished the glames before the sulpture was entirely destroyed. It had become a major tourist attraction before the fire, so there are already plans underway to restore it to its former glory.
