We’ve all known it was fast…perhaps just not this fast.
Although unconfirmed by Pagani Automobili, reports have surfaced that claim the Italian marque’s Zonda Revolucion supercar has set a new lap record for production-based cars at Germany’s Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. That heady time? A blistering six minutes and 30 seconds.

Again, while unconfirmed, that would put the rarified Zonda Revolucion a full 17 seconds faster than Pagani’s previous record setter, the 2009 Zonda R, and just 19 seconds off the all-time lap record, set by Stefan Bellof in a Porsche 956 racecar in 1983. The following photo of the Revolucion recently surfaced on Instagram showing both its impressive Top Gear lap time as well as the 6:30 Nurburgring lap.
