Build Your Own Lifelike McLaren P1 Out of Paper

McLaren Automotive, known maker of many four-wheeled things that go very fast, dropped a bombshell on the automotive world in the form of the 903-horsepower McLaren P1. Befitting its rarified hypercar status, only a scant 375 models will be built, which means that over seven billion of us won’t be lucky enough to have one.
But that’s no bother, because 3D artist and modeler Taras Lesko has created his own out of paper, and it looks fantastic.

Once constructed, the kit measures in at right around the same size as a large shoe box. The colors and shading look spot on, and you can tell a great deal of work went into this thing. Best of all, you can order a kit for yourself on his website, Visual Spicer, which we reckon is significantly cheaper than buying a used copy of the real thing.

And if track-eating McLarens aren’t your thing (well, they should be), Lesko offers up a pretty remarkable selection of other paper car kits, including the C7 Corvette Stingray, Back to the Future DeLorean, Lamborghini Aventador, Pagani Zonda, and, of course, the Bugatti Veyron.
Best not play with them outside on a rainy day though.
