The world would simply be a better place if all sports cars were given the GT3 treatment. The Mercedes-AMG GT3, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Special Edition have already set 2015 on fire with their cutting aero, huge wings, and wrestler-like shaved weights. Motorsport photographer James Gibson wants Jaguar to join the party, and judging by this F-Type GT3 rendering, that looks like an excellent idea.
Gibson first imagined the GT3 Jaguar in a gorgeous green before applying the Classic Group 44 Trans-Am color scheme in a follow-up render. To make it GT3-ready, the car is slightly wider, the intakes were enlarged, and hood vents were added to help cool the engine. A front splitter, canards and a large wing were also added for better aerodynamics and increased downforce. The sideview mirrors are different too, and the overall new package looks fantastic.
As of right now, the only race-like Jaguar F-Type road car is the limited-run Project 7. But we can dream…
