This BMW i8 is Gray and Yellow Because Abu Dhabi

Leave it to the people of the United Arab Emirates to try to jazz up one of the jazziest cars on the market. After photos of a lime green BMW i8 surfaced earlier this year, photos of this dark gray version with bright yellow accents recently popped up from the same Abu Dhabi Motors dealership.

 

The customization is part of the Individual program, or as BMW would say, “an expression of personality.” Unfortunately, this color scheme represents something that’s not 100 percent unique, as an extremely similar design was crafted by German tuner Manhart Performance for both the i8 and the 2-Series Coupe.

Regardless, the more subtle look is nice in contrast to the extremely gaudy cars see everywhere in Abu Dhabi. This i8 even sticks to stock rims and a stock white leather interior (just imagine if the seats and dash were all yellow).

Hopefully, somebody in the U.S. will order an i8 Individual so we can see it in person. Hey Tyga, how about you take one and see how it would look in an all-red scheme?
