Watch The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Hit The Track

BOLD RIDE

2016 Camaro Teaser photo

This video features some fantastic shots of the the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro attacking the track, but it’s the sneak peek at the end that will have you hitting the replay button over and over. That’s because it gives a glimpse of the sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro set to debut for 2016.

The bulk of the video features a bright red 2015 Camaro taking corners and kicking up its heels on the track in honor of the upcoming sale of the 500,000th unit of the iconic car. There is plenty of sideways action but the kicker comes at the end after the tire smoke clears.

Details about the new Camaro are scare, but it will have a much lighter chassis than the current generation and will probably have more power and better handling. The mule seen and heard in the video gives a look at a car that is most definitely still that familiar Camaro shape even covered in a camo wrap.

It’s a mule, not a production vehicle, so what you see isn’t quite going to be what you get. That tow hook likely won’t be there, for example. What we will get is an all-new version of the Camaro that will go head-to-head with the new Ford Mustang that has been outpacing Camaro sales over the last few months. Perhaps the new Camaro can reverse that trend.
