In a world where hybrid hypercars reign supreme, it seems the days of naturally-aspirated GT supercars are all but forgotten. Thankfully, Aston keeps our GT dreams alive with cars like the Vanquish, and one artist wants to do the same for BMW.

South African designer Idries Noah (aka idi3d), created this stunning BMW M GT concept to take on the likes of Aston Martin and other GT supercars. Similar to the competition, the concept is long, sleek, and puts down a hypothetical 600 horsepower from a twin-turbocharged V8.

Using cues from the current generation M6, and digging into the history books with the 850i, the M GT manages to conjure up both classic and modern lines in one handsome package. According to Noah, it’s also created to be both lighter and faster than the current-generation M6.

The M GT is just a design study of what could be, but it’s definitely something we could see in the BMW lineup in the near future.
