Infiniti Q60 concept reveals a forthcoming, menacing coupe

The Infiniti Q60 concept is effectively a coupe version of the Q50 sedan. Only in conceptual form it borrows styling cues from the wonderfully aggressive, wonderfully fast, Q50 Eau Rouge, and when it arrives as a production model perhaps before year's end, Infiniti has said it won't differ much from what you see here.

Stealing market share from the Germans is no easy task, and Infiniti has been trying to redefine itself as a brand. It's not there yet, and sales this month are down 9.3 percent, with its yearly totals remaining stagnant at +0.8 percent in a largely up market, but there's little doubt design director Alfonso Albaisa is creating more visually distinct products.

Beyond said design, we don't know much about the Q60 concept (other than it has two fewer doors than the Q50). Making its debut next week at the Detroit auto show, more information will likely surface -- so be sure to check back with us then.
