BOLD RIDE
Driverless cars are the future. There’s no way around it. At least to a small degree, there will soon be cars on the roads that don’t require the person in the front seat paying attention to the road.
With that concept in mind, the functionality and thought process for a car’s interior is evolving. The Italdesign Giugiaro Gea conceptualizes this space can be used as an office, a wellness cabin, or a dream area.
Italdesign, the same company that created the awesome Giugiaro Parcour Concept, plays off the idea that time is our most valuable luxury. And in the Gea, that luxury is opulently enjoyed with a variety of new setups and technology that focuses on the passengers.
The Gea literally welcomes you with open doors and warm red “carpet” lighting into a cabin that with either white or blue lighting. A sea of nubuck leather, silk floor, hand-stitched parchment leather, and stainless steel make for a wealthy-feeling space.
The dash even has a 3D holographic screen, in addition to the 12-inch display. On the exterior, the lighting incorporates Audi’s laser and LED tech and would be used to communicate with other vehicles.

Powering the large sedan are four electric motors, one behind each of those 26-inch wheels, that produce 764 horsepower. That means a top speed of 155 mph, shall you decide to drive it yourself. The electric system will also feature induction recharging for its 375-liter batteries. So, no, luxury does not mean boring in the Gea’s case.
