If you have faith in the Cubs and you’ve always wanted a DeLorean, then here’s your chance to win the car of your dreams. The Volo Auto Museum in Illinois has decided to give away its replica of the DeLorean time machine from the Back to the Future movies if the Cubs win the 2015 World Series.
The museum decided now was the time to give it away because not only have they had it in the collection for many years, but it’s a nod to the future that Marty McFly sees in the films. The Cubs win the 2015 World Series in the movie, so it would make the film prescient if it happens in the real world.
According to DailyHerald, to enter show up at the museum any time after March 21 and you’ll automatically be entered to win. The Cubs haven’t won a World Series since 1908 so the most likely scenario is that the car won’t be going anywhere.
There will still be a winner, though, just not of the iconic car. Instead, the winner will get a Marty McFly hoverboard replica which, although not as cool as the DeLorean, is still a pretty nice souvenir.
